Career summary

Julia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Monash University in 2008.  She commenced her articles with the firm in 2008 and was admitted to practice in April 2009.

Julia thoroughly enjoyed her articles year.  Reflecting on this time, Julia states that she especially benefited from the variety of legal work she undertook and the level of responsibility granted to her.

From the beginning of her articles, Julia was actively involved in the running of files, giving her the opportunity to engage directly with clients and other legal practitioners. It also enabled Julia to be involved in decision making and resolving difficult legal problems.  She found this particularly rewarding.

Julia feels that the guidance and support offered by her Principal and other senior members of the firm was invaluable to her professional development.  She is sure that the knowledge and understanding gained during her articles year have given her an excellent foundation for her legal career.

Julia is practicing in the areas of commercial, litigation, insolvency and employment law.
