Lauren Gillett
Trainee

Career summary

Lauren completed a Law/Arts (Psychology) degree at Monash University in 2008 and graduated with honours. Shortly afterwards, she spent a year travelling overseas prior to commencing her traineeship with Williams Winter in April 2010.

In December 2007, Lauren undertook a seasonal clerkship with the firm. Lauren thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Reflecting back on this time, she particularly remembers that she found the staff to be supportive and welcoming. Lauren recalls that the depth and knowledge of the practitioners, as well as the range of areas of law practiced by the firm, was eye opening. Lauren's seasonal clerkship with the firm was significant in her successful application for a traineeship position.

When she started her traineeship at Williams Winter, Lauren said "I am looking forward to applying the skills and theoretical knowledge I gained at university to real life situations."

As a trainee Lauren is under the supervision of Michael Jorgensen. During her traineeship she will be working with all of the principals and senior solicitors of the firm.
